Warcraft Drawings

The designs are not mine. I just looked at the Illidan artwork from the cards (yup, Warcraft has its own card game). The last two drawings are also inspired by the cards. These are sketches on an 18 x 12 in sketchpad. I just took pics because I can't scan them. I posted these on my dA as well. Illidan Stormrage This was the hardest of the four because I had to color everything in the background. Kael'thas Sunstrider I'm happy with this. I wish I didn't include the name on the bottom right corner though. A blood elf A dwarf and paladin

More Kratos Drawings

Posted these on my deviantArt. These sketches are on an 18 x 12 in drawing book. Took photos using my DSLR.

More Drawings

Hikari Cosplay

My youngest sister, who's a huge fan of the Special A series, finally got to join a cosplay. The event was organized by Kapt. Tomas Monteverde Sr. Central Elementary School. Pupils from all grade levels were encouraged to join the elimination round. Each grade level had its own batch of winners. I was surprised and impressed that the school itself organized an event like this. Normally, most grown-ups in my country would think an event for anime fans and gamers would be a waste of time. They would say that watching anime and playing video games isn't good for kids, let alone make them dress up like their characters. I'm glad that this is slowly changing and that the teachers are playing a big role. This is my sister who cosplayed Hikari from Special A. Here are some of the sixth grade students who participated in the elimination round on February 16, 2012.

Irish Fairy Tales by James Stephens

Irish Fairy Tales is a collection of ten stories mostly about the Fenian Cycle. The tales which feature Finn primarily, begins with the story of the settlement of different races in Ireland. The rest of the stories are about the people related to Finn or about Finn himself. The following are the stories contained in this book: The Story of Tuan Mac Cairill The Boyhood of Fionn The Birth of Bran Oisin's Mother The Wooing of Becfola The Little Brawl at Allen The Carl of the Drab Coat The Enchanted Cave of Cesh Corran Becuma of the White Skin Morgan's Frenzy Although most of the stories are related to the Fenian cycle, there was no mention of Oisin other than the story of his birth. There was no mention of Grania and Dermot too. The stories are easy to understand even if the reader is not familiar with Celtic mythology in general. When Stephens used an unfamiliar term, he explained its meaning. Readers who are well-versed with the Fenian cycle however, will find...

The Haunted Earth by Dean Koontz

This was yet another attempt by Dean Koontz to mix supernatural with sci-fi and suspense. The result: supernaturals from our world conspiring with supernaturals from an alien world to cover up a huge mess that wreaked havoc in the home planet of the maseni. Jessie Blake, a human detective, and his partner Brutus, a hellhound, were getting bored with their usual clients. Jessie was surprised one day when a maseni contacted him to find a lost brood brother. Galiotor Fils said that the maseni embassy were hiding the details of his brother Tesserax's death. The maseni, whose first contact with humans was explained later in the book, have been co-existing with the humans for ten years. They awakened the humans' ability to perceive the supernatural realm, therefore giving the humans no choice but to live with creatures they think exist only in myths and books. The chaos it created forced everyone to make laws to ensure that everyone gets along.  vampires for example, can't ...
